30 to 50 cms in height. Deep salmon pink flowers with a white tip in spring. Large, puffy heart-shaped flowers dangle from the leafless stems. Emerging foliage has a tinge of purple. Part shade and good drainage. (Commonly called the ‘Red’ variety). Winter dormant.

Mid pink/white with green veining maturing to a nice mid pink - possibly Astrantia major Rubra cross. Younger foliage was darker than usual -blackish green. Sun or light shade. Great for picking. Winter dormant.
