There are about 150 different types of perennials and bulbs in the nursery including:

  • Rare plants and bulbs
  • Border perennials
  • Rockery plants
  • Woodland plants
  • Potted bulbs

There are a few seed varieties and plastic labels available for sale. Visitors can obtain a printed catalogue and are welcome to wander around and enjoy looking at the variety of lines on offer. Some photos are on display or online.

Primula Auricula 'Rufus Red'


A nice scarlet-red form with a yellow eye. Light shade.

Hosta 'Raspberry Sundae'


Height to 30 cms. Compact with beautiful variegated leaves. These start off cream and green, lightening and brightening to white with maturity. Fascinating deep burgundy petioles, leaf bases and flower stalks. The red pigmentation in the foliage is stunning. Deep lavender purple flowers late summer. Shade. Winter dormant.

Hosta 'Empress Wu'


To 1.2 metre. Largest variety available. Impressive with huge, thick, dark green leaves. Reddish violet flowers in summer. Moist shade. Winter dormant.

Aquilegia Crystal Star - White


To 70 cms in flower. 5 perfectly shaped white petals, flowering in summer. Ideal cut flower. Sun or part shade. Well drained soil. Cottage garden favourite. Winter dormant.

Zephyranthes verecunda


5 or more bulbs in pots- mixed sized bulbs, some are large. To 20 cms. Flowers white, tinged with pink that open up after rain in spring/summer. Often more than one flower per bulb. Suits sandy, drier soil, sun.
