There are a few seed varieties and plastic labels available for sale. Visitors can obtain a printed catalogue and are welcome to wander around and enjoy looking at the variety of lines on offer. Some photos are on display or online.

3 large potted bulbs. Lightest of blue with a pretty white top. Sun and good drainage.

Aquilegia 'Winky' - Blue and White

Pretty upward-facing, short-spurred, bicoloured flowers. These are bushy, clump-forming perennial columbines that typically grow 45 to 60 cms tall and bloom in spring. Blue with contrasting white on the upper parts of the sepals. Sun or light shade. Winter dormant. Problems Susceptible to leaf miner. Aphids are a lesser problem. Potential disease problems include leaf spot, powdery mildew and rust. Foliage usually declines by mid-summer at which point it should be cut to the ground. Uses Borders, rock gardens, cottage gardens, open shade gardens, woodland gardens or naturalized areas. Also a good selection for a hummingbird garden. Continue to water plants after bloom to enjoy the ground cover effect of the foliage.

To 35 cms. Striking, nodding red and white spurred flowers late spring to early summer. Sun or light shade. Suits borders, woodland edges and cottage gardens. Attracts insects. Winter dormant.

(Painted Daisy). To 90 cms. Pink, single daisy flowers late spring/summer. Finely-cut, somewhat ferny foliage in a mound. Sun/semi-shade. Cut flowers last well. Cottage garden, mixed border. Dormant in winter.

Superior variety. To 50 cms when in flower. Mixed colours – red, orange, yellow and copper coloured shades. Sun or light shade. Suitable for moist areas and around ponds. Winter dormant.
