There are about 150 different types of perennials and bulbs in the nursery including:

There are a few seed varieties and plastic labels available for sale. Visitors can obtain a printed catalogue and are welcome to wander around and enjoy looking at the variety of lines on offer. Some photos are on display or online.

Trillium chloropetalum - seedlings

20 very small Trillium chloropetalum seedlings. Sown 2022. Mixed colours only. Sent barerooted, protected and wrapped in damp newspaper. Some damp potting mix will cover these. Limited number available. These can take at least 7 years to flower from seed. Mature plants are up to 50 cms in height and have 3 petalled lily type flowers in spring over several weeks. Leaves may be light green or have scattered brownish blotches. Ideal for woodland type conditions where there is filtered light. Suitable for under deciduous trees. Dormant late summer to winter. Photo is an example of mature flowering plants.

Seldom available. To 20 cms. Evergreen, thick, leathery dark green leaves. Purply pink flowers with a yellowish throat. Shade and good drainage.

Early flowering alpine. Irregular leaf edges- silvery margins. Purple flowers. Very good drainage.

Aconitum napellus subsp. vulgare 'Albidum'

White monk's hood. 1.2 to 1.5 metres. The long stems of lovely white flowers are useful for brightening a shady corner mid-summer. The flowers resemble the hoods that monks wear over their heads. Cut off flower stalks as they fade. Excellent cut flower. Part to full shade. Winter dormant.
