There are about 150 different types of perennials and bulbs in the nursery including:

There are a few seed varieties and plastic labels available for sale. Visitors can obtain a printed catalogue and are welcome to wander around and enjoy looking at the variety of lines on offer. Some photos are on display or online.

5 pieces of this taller hardy perennial that is a useful ground cover.  Height to about 90 cms. Lovely unusual foliage. Pointy, heart-shaped leaves that are medium green with a silvery V-shaped marking and a bronze centre. Sprays of tinyy white flowers late summer to autumn. Part or full shade is best. Winter dormant- may be trimmed back.

(May Apple). To 30 cms. Trillium like mottled leaves that are deeply lobed. White/pink flowers followed by a large red tomato-like fruit. Moist peaty soil and part to full shade. Part shade. Winter dormant.

RARE SPECIMEN PLANT. 1.5 litre pots. To 45 cms. An exotic hybrid with huge, lobed umbrella shaped leaves which are splashed and spotted. Unusual maroon red flowers are followed by fleshy fruits (May apples). Woodland, rich moist soil. Full shade. Mainly winter dormant, may retain some leaves if given more protection.

Unnamed with bright pink flowers in spring. About 20 cms in height and summer dormant. Leaves are pale green, wrinkled and covered in short hairs. The pretty flowers are often fringed. Part shade. Light woodland. Summer dormant.

Rodgersia aesculifolia

To 1 metre. Architectural plant. Huge, impressive, palmate, wrinkled leaves. The veins and leaf stalks are reddish-brown and densely woolly. In midsummer, the upright flower spikes are made up of white or pink florets. Rodgersias add drama and definition to gardens in full sun and partial shade. Suits by water, woodland, or in other moist garden sites. Humous rich soil, partial shade to full sun. Winter dormant.

Rodgersia podophylla

60cms tall. Great architectural plant for moist, humus rich soil and some shade. Striking bronze coloured leaves in spring, going dark green through summer, then turning red in autumn. Masses of tiny creamy white flowers, sometimes flushed pink or red.
