Tiger Lilies - old fashioned and close to original species lilies. The flowers hand downwards from the stems and are often heavily freckled. Easy to grow. To 1.3 metre. Slightly recurved, creamy-white flowers spotted maroon with a sunny yellow glow. Highly perfumed. Winter dormant.
(Native of China) Unscented, heavily down facing recurved wild lily that is very easy to grow. Apricot/Orange with raised prominent stamens. Established stems will produce many flowers and might need staking to hold up the many flowers. Over one metre in height - winter dormant.
Height to 15 cms. Showy, star-shaped, pale blue flowers August. Sun/light shade. Good drainage. Suits woodland in or around shrubs, wild or naturalised areas, rockery, edging, cottage gardens. Summer dormant.
