Alpine succulent. To 15 cms. Clump forming. Unusual dangling yellow flowers with fleshy leaves which change colour from mid-green to red. Grow in containers, rockeries and over rock walls. Dappled shade and good drainage. Winter dormant.
(Pasque Flower). Alpine. To 30 cms. Lovely bright red flowers in spring and often again in autumn. The silky, hairy flowers are followed by attractive seed heads that are soft feathery tufts or plumes. A wonderful rock garden plant, with a long season of interest. Also useful for border edging. Drought tolerant, once established. Sun and good drainage essential. Semi dormant in winter.
