(Bush Clematis). Large indigo blue flowers in summer. New growth brings a second flush of flowers. Low growing and best lightly staked or supported. Prune late winter to 20 cms above 2 well developed buds. Winter dormant.
Rare. To 1 metre. Large yellow, thistle-like flowers in mid-summer. Good cut/dried flower.. Sun and good drainage. Resents disturbance. Winter dormant.
(Burning Bush). Plants are 1 year old. Mature plants are up to 90 cms in height. Purple-mauve flowers with darker veins early summer, highly fragrant lemon scented leaves. A beautiful plant when in flower and a favourite of mine. Lovely as specimen plant where you can brush past it. Usually take 4 years to flower. Winter dormant.
Woodland Anemone. To 12 cms. Lavender blue flowers in spring. Great woodland plant, semi shade best. Winter dormant.
To 20 cms. Flowers July to early August at about the same time as snowdrops. Ideal for lightly wooded or shrubby area, not under evergreens. Humous rich soil that is moist from winter to early spring. Take care when planting as its hard to tell top from bottom. Dormant autumn to early winter.
