Height 30 to 40 cms. Evergreen. Large white flowers with a green eye. Leathery type foliage. Good drainage esential. Suitable for under Rhododendrons or deciduous trees.
An unanmed Salvia but think it is Salvia jamensis - a good red colour. Height 70 cms. Sun. Good drainage.
Seldom seen in New Zealand. 30-60 cms in height. The 1-1.5 in flowers grow in whorls on an inflorescence about 30 cms long. The name castanea, which means 'chestnut coloured', refers to the purplish-maroon flowers. Summer flowering. Sun. Winter dormant.

15 cms. Bell like, soft yellow flowers dangle from short, upright stems above a mound of rich green, round leaves. Pretty addition to the front of a sunny border. Semi dormant in winter.
