To 90 cms. Arching, grey-green leaves. Branching stems bear purple-veined, yellow flowers in late summer and early summer. Sun. Clump forming.
Rare. Height to 60 cms. Finely textured, blue-violet and deep black flowers. Hairy petals. Rounded leaves. Sun or light shade is best. Winter dormant.
Height to 50 cms. Semi-double flowers mid-spring to summer. Masses of yellow to apricot blooms. Tidy, clump forming. Sun or part shade and well-drained soil.
(Meadowsweet). To 1.5 metres . Stunning with numerous double cream flowers in mid-summer. Best with constant moisture in part shade or full sun. Lovely ground cover for back of herbaceous border or woodland garden. May need collected or trimmed during summer/autumn. Winter dormant.
(Bishop's hat). To 30 cms. Lots of pretty pink flowers and attractive foliage which may take on autumn tonings later in the season. Great slow growing ground cover and perfect for under trees in partial or dense shade. Suits dry soil, shallow or rocky soil and drought conditions.
