Peltiphyllum peltata
(Darmera peltata) .90 to 1.3 metres. Rounded cymes of numerous 5-petalled pink flowers to 1.5 cms across in late spring followed by large rounded leaves. Rounded, deeply lobed, coarsely toothed, dark green leaves with conspicuous veins to 60 cms across, that turn red in autumn. Slowly spreading, rhizomatous perennial that suits part or full shade. Winter dormant.
Geranium 'Nodosum'
(Knotted Cranesbill) To 40 cms. Bluish pearly pink flowers with dark veining, from late spring to early autumn. Glossy 3-lobed leaves. Suitable for shade – tolerates drier areas. Winter dormant.
