Seldom available. To 20 cms. Evergreen, thick, leathery dark green leaves. Purply pink flowers with a yellowish throat. Shade and good drainage.
To 70 cms. Candelabra style primula. From mid spring, stout stems carry tiered whorls of flowers. The striking red/orange buds open to orangey yellow. Some shade best and moist soil. Winter dormant.
30 – 45 cms. Long, lance-shaped, grass green leaves. The brilliant purple flowers resemble orchids and display white to pale violet markings on each plant. Plant the tubers deeply in light shade on the edge of the woodland garden. Good winter drainage is best. Summer flowering. Winter dormant.
