Green varieties -mixed greens until i know the colours. Height to 20 cms. Fertile, humusy soil and part shade is ideal. Good drainage.
(Jewels of Spring). To 10 cms. Very pretty open bowl shaped lavender blue flowers to 2.5 cms across, each with 6-7 sepals are borne in spring, mainly before the leaves. May have a second flowering late summer/autumn. Slow growing hardy perennial. Grow in humus rich, moist but well drained soil in partial shade. Suits a rockery. alpine or woodland garden. Winter dormant.
To 75 cms. Lance-shaped leaves and panicles of pretty, fragrant, white flowers with a pink blush, in summer and autumn. Moist but free draining soil in sun or light shade. Some winter dormancy.
To 90 cms. Loose spikes of bright-yellow starry flowers in summer. Ground cover for sun or partial shade. Attractive to butterflies and nice for cutting. Winter dormant.
Mixed only - may include any of the colours in photos displayed. They thrive best in a moist soil, rich in humus, preferring a well-drained sheltered site where there is a little dappled shade. Alternatively, plant them in a low patio pot or alpine trough which can be moved to a shady spot in the summer months.
