Tricyrtis - mixed
(Toad Lily) - mixed varieties only. Small, orchid-like flowers that could vary in shades of lavender/white/purple and/or spotting. Late summer to autumn flowering. Part to full shade, moist soil. Winter dormant. Photos are examples only of what you may expect.
Cephalaria gigantea
(Giant yellow Scabious). 1.3 to 1.9 metres. Large, showy, 6cm wide lemon-coloured flowers in summer. Deadhead to promote more blooms. Attracts insects. May need staking. Cut well back at end of flowering period. Sun and well drained soil. Suits back of border or cottage gardens. Winter dormant.
Aquilegia 'Winky' - Blue and White
Pretty upward-facing, short-spurred, bicoloured flowers. These are bushy, clump-forming perennial columbines that typically grow 45 to 60 cms tall and bloom in spring. Blue with contrasting white on the upper parts of the sepals. Sun or light shade. Suits borders, rock gardens, cottage gardens, open shade gardens, woodland gardens or naturalized areas. Continue to water plants after bloom to enjoy the ground cover effect of the foliage. Winter dormant.
Tanacetum coccineum 'Robinsons' Pink'
(Painted Daisy). To 90 cms. Pink, single daisy flowers late spring/summer. Finely-cut, somewhat ferny foliage in a mound. Sun/semi-shade. Cut flowers last well. Cottage garden, mixed border. Dormant in winter.

To 50 cms. Upright clusters of tiny lilac bells. Ground cover for sun or partial shade. Slower growing variety. Winter dormant,
Anemone multifida 'Rubra'
To 30 cms. A lovely long display of single, deep rose, carmine red, long stemmed flowers with a pale yellow centre. Green ferny-like leaves. Attractive fluffy seedheads. Sun and good drainage. Suits rock garden, mixed border or edge of woodland. Drought tolerant. Attracts butterflies. Winter dormant.
